Totally Shakira app

Totally Shakira enables fans to keep up to date with the Colombian singer-songwriter, dancer, record producer, choreographer, and model. The app makes extensive use of the features offered by Xpress Web App Builder to create a rich and immersive experience, including use of:

  • the tab content widget, to enable easy access to Shakira’s Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter feeds.

  • a custom heading-background image.

  • stack layouts, rather than the standard layouts, for Facebook and Twitter feeds to help differentiate this app.

  • the YouTube video widget for Shakira’s latest videos.

  • the Nokia Ad Exchange widget to monetise the app.

Video Template

The Xpress Web App Builder Videos template provides anyone with a YouTube channel a modern, engaging way to present up to 10 of their most recent videos. Using a swipe gesture the user reviews videos in a smoothly scrolling carousel, seeing information about each video - such as its title and likes - at the same time. Then, when a video catches their attention, a single click plays it in the phone’s media player. And for a video that the user particularly enjoys, the web app provides features for sharing a link to the video with friends on popular social networks or through SMS.

Music Passion

Music Passion provides its users with a simple yet convenient way to access the latest news .The app has taken a focused approach to presenting its content, choosing to use a single RSS feed content widget. However, a subtle choice of Xpress Web App Builder options helps differentiate it from other apps, including use of:

  • the stack layout view for the feed content. This approach overlays the feed item’s image with the item’s text to give a modern look and feel.

  • a customised background colour in the header, harmonising with the overall theme of the app.

Photos Template

The Xpress Web App Builder Photos template provides anyone with a web based photo gallery that offers an RSS feed with a modern, engaging way to present up to 10 of their most recent photos. Using a swipe gesture the user reviews photos in a smoothly scrolling carousel, or can display the photos in an automatic slideshow. When they want to know more, a click on the photo’s information icon displays the photo’s title and date. In the same information display, users can share a link to a photo they particularly like with friends on popular social networks or through SMS.
